Accessibility Statement

Excalibur Interactive Studios Ltd is committed to ensuring that Excalibur PlayHub is accessible, navigable, and enjoyable for every adult player across desktop and mobile assistive technologies.

1. Our Commitment to WCAG 2.1 Level AA

We engineer the Excalibur PlayHub portal in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. From high-contrast Pendragon gold typography against deep obsidian surfaces to full keyboard focus rings and semantic landmarks, accessibility is part of every release review at our Leeds studio.

2. Built-In Accessibility Features

  • Respect for Reduced Motion: When your operating system has prefers-reduced-motion: reduce enabled, our ambient canvas particle effects, 3D tilt animations, and confetti bursts automatically pause.
  • Full Keyboard Navigation: All primary navigation bars, slide-out drawers, modal dialogs, accordion panels, and betbar controls are operable via Tab, Shift + Tab, Enter, and Escape.
  • Clear Visual Contrast: Text, badges, and interactive buttons are calibrated to meet or exceed the 4.5:1 AA contrast ratio against dark backgrounds.
  • Instant Audio Mute: Every game cabinet includes a dedicated one-click Sound Toggle in the cabinet header bar.

3. Assistive Technology Compatibility

Excalibur PlayHub is tested regularly with modern screen readers and browser combinations, including NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android. Live regions (aria-live="polite") announce toast notifications, balance updates, and round outcomes without stealing keyboard focus.

4. Third-Party HTML5 Game Canvases

While our outer cabinet shell, betbar controls, session telemetry panels, and paytable matrices are built with semantic HTML, certain embedded WebGL/Canvas reels from partner studios render inside an HTML5 canvas element. To ensure every player can inspect game rules and symbol payouts via screen reader, we provide a complete HTML Paytable & Rules view for every single game.
